Trade Finance Operations Technician

General Description
Responsible for processing and supporting International Trade Finance Operations transactions for Letters of Credit and/or Documentary Collections requiring complex analysis and use of judgment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Process daily transactions for customers, foreign banks and/or relationship officers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Provide support to internal and external customers to research and resolve issues, questions and concerns related to International Trade Finance products that require complex analysis.
• Support team members and customer service. Provide administrative support to team members as needed. Performs highly specialized clerical duties pertaining to assigned team. Acts as a backup during vacations, absences, etc.
• Research and resolve complex accounting entries related to Letters of Credit and/or Documentary Collections as needed. Actively maintain records for audit trails.
• Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable regulations and international standards surrounding International Trade Finance Operations processing, which may include UCP 600, ISP98, URDG 752, URC522, Incoterms, BIS and OFAC.
• Process and support operational efforts in compliance with established procedures.
• Interpret complex legal and bank documents for internal processing.
• Other duties as assigned by management which may include projects, training initiatives, writing procedures, and processing (non-routine) monthly and quarterly transactions.
Education
A minimum of 60 credits approved or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Note: Related experience refers to the professional background related to the responsibilities and skills required for the position.
Experience
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Customer service experience
• International Trade Operations experience, preferred.
• Familiar with Commercial Lending, Letters of Credit and/or Documentary Collections, preferred.
Additional Requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish (advanced level) and English (fluent)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, interpret, and evaluate legal documents, as well as other related documentation.
• Strives to deliver operational excellence, including efficient and quality processing of assigned tasks.
• General knowledge of accounting/financial concepts.
• Strong customer service orientation, with exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Monday to Friday- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
