General Description

Maintains the overall relationship with the commercial customer to ensure business growth through orientation of credit and non credit products and services. Examines, evaluates, and authorizes or recommends approval of customer applications for commercial loans by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Promotes and cross-sells credit and non credit products and services as appropriate to customer requirements. Periodically evaluates customer’s relationships to ensure increase in product and service relations and portfolio.  Interviews applicant and requests specified information for loan application.  Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation.  Analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application for credit analysis and decision. Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.  Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.  Assures timely loan closing and funding activities.  Identifies and analyzes potential loan markets to develop prospects for commercial loans. Periodically evaluates and monitors loans, reserve lines and lines of credit for the purpose of renovation, cancellation or restructuring of payment plans.  Performs collection functions of past due loans, overdrafts and lines of credit.  Prepares monthly reports such as of exceptions of past due loans of more than 15 days, FASB 114, Stress Tests forms for the federal agencies.  Ensures compliance with BSA and Know Your Customer policies: visits the customer when a new account is opened, frequently visits customers, revises and answers monthly reports.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance


Two years of experience in sales and analysis of financial statements.
