General Description

Plans and implements financial institution sales and marketing programs targeted toward the business community.  Sells financial services to customers of financial institution by performing the following duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops prospects from current commercial customers, referral leads, and other sources.  Contacts prospective customers to present information on available services such as deposit accounts, lines-of-credit, sales or inventory financing, cash management, or investment services.  Determines customers' financial services needs and prepares proposals to sell services. Reviews business trends and advises customers regarding expected fluctuations.  Attends sales and trade meetings to develop new business prospects.  Makes presentations on financial services to groups to attract new clients.  Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to customer requirements, such as business checking, business credit card, and letters of credit.  Prepares forms or agreement to complete sale.  Evaluates costs and revenue of agreements to determine if they are profitable to continue.  Sells services such as check processing and collecting, record keeping and reporting, trust, investment, or safekeeping services, or products such as traveler’s checks, to other financial institutions.  Solicits businesses to participate in consumer credit card program. Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. 

 

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
