Sr Business Systems Liaison

General Description

Serves as a strategic liaison among the Collections business units, technology teams, vendors, and management to identify, analyze, document, and implement technology solutions that support the Division’s operational objectives. This role requires strong technology knowledge, functional application administration experience, data analysis skills, project management capabilities, analytical thinking, and a focus on process optimization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and coordinating technology projects and process improvement initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation and support. This includes analyzing business needs, preparing project documentation, managing testing cycles (SIT/UAT), tracking incidents, change requests, and requirements, as well as validating data and system integrations. Serves as the primary liaison between business units, technology teams, audit, compliance, and external vendors, ensuring alignment of objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Also manages Collections Division applications, provides user support, participates in system migrations and upgrades, and assesses operational, technological, regulatory, and control impacts. Additionally, develops and maintains reports, control tools, operational metrics, and monitoring processes to ensure data reliability and compliance with control requirements. Promotes automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement through the effective use of technology and data analysis, while also documenting contingency procedures to support business continuity.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related fields

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in business analysis, systems administration, technology solution implementation, project management, or similar functions. Equivalent experience may be considered based on the complexity of the projects performed.
  • Experience analyzing, extracting, validating, and reconciling data using database and reporting tools such as SQL, JSON, advanced Excel, Power BI, Cognos, SAS, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of systems development and implementation life cycles, including requirements gathering, functional documentation, SIT/UAT testing, defect management, implementation, post-implementation validation, and operational support.
  • Experience with project management, task tracking, or incident management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Planner, or equivalent platforms.
  • Knowledge of collections systems, banking applications, system integrations, operational controls, information security, and applicable regulatory requirements is preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and similar collaboration or productivity tools.
  • Ability to prepare clear, complete, and auditable documentation, including requirements, traceability matrices, test plans, results, approvals, procedures, and training materials.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, follow up on multiple initiatives, and work effectively with business, technology, vendor, audit, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to identify risks, recommend alternatives, and support decision-making based on operational impact.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, oral and written, with strong writing skills in both languages.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

  • Flexibility to work weekends, extended hours, and holidays is also required if necessary.
