We are currently seeking a self-motived, highly driven Loan Documentation Specialist with strong administrative and interpersonal skills. This customer-focused professional must function well individually and collectively with various departments.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work directly with our internal partners (Sales, Accounting & Compliance), as well as customers and vendors to provide superior customer service. In this position, the incumbent will help serve as a dependable financial service provider to a variety of industries across the Unites States.

In this position, you will:

Coordinate with Sales and other internal departments in the lease preparation process.
Be responsible for the accurate, timely and complete preparation of lease documents, which are generated using Drawloop within our SalesForce CRM.
Maintain transaction information and enter it into the lease management system (SalesForce).
Manage daily customer and vendor requests and transaction maintenance. This includes following up on open vendor invoices, missing documentation, requesting proof of insurance, filing UCCs, and processing payments to vendors.
Maintain specialized knowledge of the Loan Documentation department’s function, terminology, policies and procedures, and related laws and regulations at the local, state and federal levels.

To be considered, you will need:

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis in Word and Excel. Must be familiar with the use of web-based browsers. SalesForce experience is preferred, but not required.
An Associates Degree (preferred) with a minimum of 3 years experience in the leasing industry.
The Ability to take initiative, think outside-the-box, and effectively manage priorities.

Base Salary & Benefits

Senior Product Manager (San Juan, PR)

General Description

The Popular Auto Division is primary focus will be to collaborate with the Sales team to grow the loan and lease portfolio for cars, trucks, equipment and boats. This will be achieved with the implementation of targeted campaigns, strategic alliances with dealers, suppliers and providers, through the optimization of digital and face-to-face channels. In addition will be responsible for co-leading Popular Auto's marketing strategy for the affiliated dealer network in Puerto Rico.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Effective management of work teams, aligning resources and optimal use of the assigned budget. This includes managing budgets allocated to special projects, activities/events, contests, and other marketing efforts.
Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote auto financing products through the network of affiliated dealerships.
Develop promotional materials and support tools for dealers (signage, digital content, media support, etc.) focused on increasing the sales volume of our participating dealers and the % of sponsorship to Popular Auto.
Coordinate events, auto shows and point-of-sale activations with dealers; and activities such as: social, education for dealer employees, dealer owners, etc., employee and customer recognition, corporate travel and Golf Tournament.
Lead special projects that require the collaboration of people and groups that report to other areas of the business, the company and external suppliers. Such as: dealer events, social activities, Golf Tournament.
Manage digital campaigns (billboards, social networks, Google Ads, email marketing) focused on generating requests and conversion to portfolio.
Coordinate with the compliance and legal area the different campaigns and/or requirements related to digital strategies, brands and offers.
Maintain a close and aligned collaboration with dealers, advertising agencies, media (press, radio and TV) joint initiatives in search of increasing sales.
Monitor the performance of each dealer in terms of application generation, financing conversion and the performance of their portfolios.
Establish marketing strategies tied to the individual sales strategy of top dealers and/or distributors including: offers, contests, recognition activities, and support at their dealerships.
Analyze automotive market trends and consumer behavior in Puerto Rico to provide suggestions and solutions according to the needs that arise.
Supervise the people who work with the functions related to assembly and disassembly, signage, management of the calendar of activities, events and corporate activities.
Collaborate with the credit, sales, and compliance team to ensure strategic alignment.

Education

General Description

Popular is seeking a quantitative analyst who will conduct the validation for quantitative risk models and core system applications subject to Model Risk & Governance policy requirements such as credit risk, operational risk, scenario variables/macroeconomic forecasting models, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / Anti Money Laundering (AML) and fraud system rules, etc. which are used to assess the adequacy of risk modeling for regulatory and business requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Validates, tests, documents, implements, and/or oversees usage of advanced quantitative/statistical and AML models. The statistical models are utilized in forecasting of the bank’s deposit, revenues, stress scenario and allowances. BSA/AML models cover Anti Money Laundering, Sanction Screening, Know Your Customer (KYC), Client Due Diligence (CDD), and other forms of financial crimes monitoring.
Perform independent challenges of machine learning models used for fraud detection and fraud risk management. Fraud models cover transaction authentication (debit cards, credit cards, ACH) and account originations (loans, credit cards and deposit accounts).
Deliverables include the creation of validation documentation such as: presentations, written reports, model or reporting code documentation, business requirements, monitoring reports and related code, and procedures.
Provide effective challenge on the conceptual and technical soundness of the models’ design, theory, and framework through various testing following guidelines based on SR 11-7.
Interact with stakeholders such as model developers, model sponsors, model users, and production, for model risk management related activities.
Perform complex mathematical analysis utilizing various statistical methods or techniques. Areas of focus are models using machine learning (Random Forest, GBT, XGBoost, Neural Networks), logistic regression and various ensemble techniques.
Working optimally as a team member with other quantitative analysts at Popular, as well with external consultants.

Education

Coordinate with management and internal legal counsel to ensure that legal counsel is assigned to cases where representation is necessary.

Sales

We are looking for a Senior CRA Compliance Officer to join our Compliance Team in New York, NY. This person will assist in developing and supporting the Bank's strategies and be responsible for its successful implementation. In this position, you will:

Provide support in identifying HMDA and CRA risks in collaboration with the Regulatory Risk Assessment Unit;
Monitor the Bank's CRA performance (HMDA and CRA Small Business / Small Farms data and for adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and guidance in accordance with the Bank's CRA strategy and goals;
Track, monitor and analyze the bank's CRA performance, including lending, investment, and service activities, to ensure compliance with CRA regulations;
Support the establishment of SMART business goals for HMDA and CRA to address LMI lending opportunities;
Quarterly assess the HMDA and CRA Small Business/Small Farms data, and Community Development Activities with respect to demographic data on median income levels, distribution of household income, and other relevant data in the bank’s assessment areas, using the Wiz SaaS tool to create Performance Reports and aid in the timely and accurate submission of the HMDA LAR and CRA LR;
Support a comprehensive and enterprise wide CRA Program by engaging stakeholders in the Bank and within the community.
Monitor state and federal laws and regulations affecting CRA and fair lending compliance and help implement any changes. Keep senior management abreast of all changes;
Assist to ensure that applicable policy and procedures are timely updated to reflect current practices;
Assist to complete annual CRA self-assessment;
Serve as a resource to business units, internal team members and management providing a range of support, guidance, and analysis on regulatory compliance requirements, issues, and/or best practices relative to CRA and fair lending;
Assist in managing the federal and state CRA examinations and/or related regulatory examinations, audits, or reviews;
Provide support to management in the execution of the compliance training program, including drafting training materials, and conducting training as needed;
Support the Bank’s CRA Program, including monitoring of the Bank’s CRA performance in accordance with the Bank’s CRA strategy;
Help maintain current CRA public file and ensure public disclosure requirements are met;
Establish, monitor, and maintain relationships with community based charitable and non-profit organizations, representing Popular Bank and its commitment to the communities that it serves, including but not limited to board service as needed;
Work with lending, credit and senior business managers and community organizations to identify opportunities and service the needs of low-moderate income households; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

To be considered, you will need:

Bachelor’s degree required. CRCM designation preferred.
Superior knowledge of compliance laws and regulations including CRA, HMDA, fair lending, UDAAP and other applicable consumer compliance regulations.
5-7 years of experience with CRA Wiz, including use for submission, reporting and mapping functionalities, and analytics.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a team, maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across departments while also taking direction and reporting to management.
Prior experience working with regulatory agencies, including FRB, OCC, FDIC or CFPB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Validates, tests, documents, implements, and/or oversees usage of quantitative/statistical and AML models. The statistical models are utilized in forecasting of the bank’s deposit, revenues, stress scenario and allowances. BSA/AML models cover Anti Money Laundering, Sanction Screening, Know Your Customer (KYC), Client Due Diligence (CDD), and other forms of financial crimes monitoring.
Draft detailed technical and regulatory reports on model risk, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as SR 11-7, OCC 2011-12, and local banking regulations, including but not limited to presentations, written reports, model or reporting code documentation, business requirements, monitoring reports, and procedures.
Provide effective challenge on the conceptual and technical soundness of the models’ design, theory, and framework through various testing methods following guidelines based on SR 11-7.
Interact with stakeholders such as model developers, model sponsors, model users, and production, to support model risk management related activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met during system changes or new deployments.
Support compliance and audit activities by providing evidence and ensuring operational controls are in place
Ensure enterprise system's components meet compliance requirements.
Participate in incident identification and response activities.
Perform security evaluations and continuous monitoring processes.
Performs SecOps related assessments as assigned utilizing security tools and methodologies.
Maintains oversight vendors regarding the security maintenance of their systems and applications.
Provides periodic status reports, including outstanding issues.
Assist in all Cybersecurity audits, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
Serve as SME within security projects and perform security operational defined processes.
Promote awareness of applicable regulatory standards, upstream risks, and industry’s best practices across the company.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.

Experience:

Three (3) years of proven progressive experience in security aspects of system engineering in a complex technological environment.

Certifications / Licenses:

Certifications are highly desirable but not required

CASP+, CEH, Security+, CISSP

Operational/Regulations Processes: Knowledge of budget administration, resources allocation, organization’s policies, and regulations. Ability to establish, conduct and track operational processes properly.
Computer and Technological Skills: Proficient in MSO 365. Experience with data management tools such as: Power Pivot and Power BI, among others, is desired. Ability to achieve results by providing innovative ways of working with operational and technological considerations.
