We are seeking a Branch Administration Specialist for our Core Branch Administration Team who can combine strong analytic capabilities, database skills, and exceptional communication skills to help drive operational efficiency related to consumer lending in retail branch locations. This position is responsible for management and support of Consumer Lending Operations for the Bank’s regions and branches to accomplish their consumer credit goals, emphasizing on the quality and timeliness of the information collected during the interview process, the loan applications, and required documentation.
 
This position provides ongoing support to Branches/Retail and Regional Branch Administration Team in creating, distributing, and analyzing information, as well as identifying and leading process improvement initiatives to further enhance branch consumer lending operational processes.  This position also will serve as a bridge between various business stakeholders to help modify as well as facilitate the development and implementation of internal/external forms and documentation and new policies and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
 

In this position, you will:

  • Establish and manage retail consumer lending branch operational procedures to align with Popular Credit Policies, Risk Appetite, Compliance, Audit and Quality Assurance
  • Manage production of reporting, analysis of data, and routine publications of Retail and Private Banking Consumer Lending Operations reporting and communications/newsletters
  • Primary liaison between retail and primary Business Partners who directly impact the consumer lending application process: (i.e., Compliance, Marketing, Product Development, Underwriting, VOI Team, and PB Credit Operations – Quality.) and internal/external customer experience
  • Collaborate with and support the Consumer Lending Product Management team to be aware of new products, systems, and campaigns for consumer lending
  • Collaborate with and support the Consumer Lending teams in Puerto Rico to build effective partnerships/relationships and ensure effective communication exists for consumer lending
  • Coordinate and assist in facilitating trainings related to consumer credit systems and procedures. Also, participate in the development of procedures manuals for trainings as a subject matter expert as needed
  • Conduct and/or participate in routine Region, Branch, Business Support Unit, and Senior Management meetings as needed to present new processes, operation reports, or any information that may assist the branches in achieving their consumer credit goals
  • Conduct Retail and Private Banking Branch evaluations to measure Branch Consumer Lending Performance Standards and Behaviors to meet minimal Branch Assessment and Customer Experience performance targets.  Make in person visits to the branches (travel may be required to SFL, NY & NJ locations) and identify employees who need coaching in processes or consumer credit products and develop a plan along with branches to strengthen opportunity areas
  • Additional projects and tasks as defined by the management team as applicable
     

To be considered, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a financial or business-related specialty and/or 3-5 years related experience in banking, compliance, and audit
  • Understanding of consumer credit products, processes, systems (Salesforce-nCino) and related documents
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, & follow-up skills
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • High-level expertise with Microsoft Office suite (Office 365, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project). Power user of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, foster collaboration and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
     

Salary Range

Our base salary for this position located in New York City generally ranges between $60,000.00 and $85,000.00 annually, depending on business need and on your qualifications and experience. Base salary does not include incentive compensation, commission, or any other type of remuneration or benefits.
